TS Galaxy Aims for Top 8 Finish: Coach Ramovic Praises Team Effort

TS Galaxy, currently sitting fourth on the DStv Premiership log, is on the verge of a significant achievement this season.

With three games left, including matches against Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Polokwane City, coach Sead Ramovic believes a top 8 finish would be worth celebrating.

Despite losing three key players—Given Msimango, Bathusi Aubaas, and Melusi Buthelezi—at the start of the season, Ramovic is proud of how the team has performed.

“We are very happy about the process because when you talk about expectations, what are the expectations for a team like us?” Ramovic said.

Without major financial power, the primary goal for TS Galaxy was simply to stay in the league.

However, achieving a top 8 finish would make this season fantastic, and a top 5 finish would feel like winning the league.

Ramovic emphasized that reaching the top 8 would be celebrated just as much as winning the league.

In the past two and a half seasons, TS Galaxy has not spent much money and has sold seven key players to top clubs. Despite these challenges, they reached a cup final and are currently ranked fifth.

Ramovic credited his coaching staff for their exceptional work, noting that they are having their best season ever.

He humbly stated, “I have to give credit to my coaching staff, and I'm the smallest part. I don't need this attention like someone who mentions that I like attention.

I don't like attention because I played in one of the best leagues, and the other one probably played badminton.”

As TS Galaxy looks forward to their upcoming matches, the team and fans are hopeful for a strong finish and a place in the top 8, which would cap off an extraordinary season.
